1880   Sewing for My Doll & Me (Ages 8 - 12)   Start 06/16/14   End 06/20/14   Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm  
5 sessions   Tuition: $99.00   Location: UNA Kilby School (Room 3)   Room 3   Instructor: Marilyn Jones   Please read: Sewing for My Doll & Me - Supply List Pincushion: a small sandwich bag amount of cotton balls or some type of stuffing. I will provide the fabric. Headbands: 1/3 yard of cotton fabric Tote Bags: 1/2 yd. Cotton fabric 1 inch ribbon that can be the same as the apron or a different roll 2 or 4 buttons for decoration – not necessary but a chance to learn to sew on a button Pillowcases: 1 yard of cotton fabric AND 1/2 yard of a different fabric for the band Hats and Scarves: ¾ yard fleece--- cotton fabric will not work for this project Aprons: 2/3 yard of cotton fabric and 2/3 yard for the lining. Can be the same but 2 fabrics will make it reversible with different looks 1 inch ribbon (Wal-Mart has 18 feet rolls for less than $2) – can be the same as the bag Pillowcase Dresses: 1 ¼ yard of cotton fabric AND ¾ yard of a different fabric for the band Needs to be 2 different fabrics 1 roll of 1 inch wide ribbon (18 feet roll at Wal-Mart is $1.97) If they choose to only make a doll dress no additional fabric is needed **Please do not send knit fabrics only cotton fabrics that have been washed and ironed. No one way fabrics – the fabric should look fine in any direction. The hat and scarf are the only projects that must be out of fleece and not cotton fabric. Sewing machine in good working order preferably threaded Thread to match – a neural white, beige or grey might work for all your projects. This does not have to be different for all projects ¼ inch elastic Sew on Velcro for doll clothes – not the stick on kind Scissors, pins, needle and thimble and basic sewing notions to include extra sewing machine needles I will provide patterns for extra doll clothes. ½ to1 yard of each of 2 different fabrics would be nice so the blouse and pants or skirt will be different. Camp Information: 1. Camper must be signed in and out each day. 2. Camper must be walked in each day. (Please do not drop campers off at door.) 3. A small snack is provided..
